Flip Skateboards

Flip Skateboards was born in the UK. Originally named Deathbox, they changed to Flip in 1994 and moved to the USA as they sought to grow the company and to become fully legit in the eyes of the skate industry at the time.

Upon arriving in California, Flip skateboards impact was rapid and sharp, riders Geoff Rowley, Tom Penny and Rune Glifberg made a serious dent by laying down some gnarly skateboarding, forcing Flip's acceptance. Geoff Rowley went on to become one of the gnarliest street skaters of his, or any generation, and deservedly got a pro shoe with Vans. Tom Penny became worshipped like a god through his effortless style.

Flip released the video Sorry in 2002, which continued their assault on skateboarding as the team grew out to include Mark Appleyard, Ali Boulala, Alex Chalmers, Arto Saari and Bastien Salabanzi. Really Sorry followed only a year later, continuing a serious level of skateboarding and expanding the team to PJ Ladd. Extremely Sorry, their third video concluded in 2009 adding, Rodrigo Tx, Lance Mountain, Bob Burnquist, Ben Nordberg, Shane Cross, with young rippers David Gonzalez, Luan de Oliveira, Louie Lopez, and Curren Caples. The latter of which now uphold the Flip Skateboards team alongside Alec Majerus and Matt Berger.
